Need some urgent advices from sajha guru's. i heard it had helped some people in the past, and so i am here knocking the doors for some sound advice.

A dear friend was ready to graduate and completed all graduation formalities. Had an expected GPA of 3.0. In the mean one his core class the pre-requiste was to have a min. of B, however he got a C at the end...he has his OPT applied and all set of go...however at the last minute the department informed him that he cannot graduate because he did not complete all the graduation requirements. 
He tried and tried ...and i guess the professor ia a bastard from hell, the professor does not want to listen at all...the dean listens but he says every thing relies on the professor decision.......

i bet some of us might have gone through similar pain..

what are his options ?..the class he needs is offered next year......what happens to his status, if his opt is on hand, and he has not graduated yet...?.,.....

any help is appreciated.

Your Friend should consult his/her intl advisor. You can always cancel your OPT or change the start date if i am not mistaken !

In my college, I can graduate with 2 classes left to take. Your school might have such policy too, u may check. And you can take that class, after your OPT ends.

Try meeting with department head of related subject or go and talk direct to the Chancellor and ask for the advice. I believe he can take you out from this problem.
