I am planning to call my parents to vist us is the US. I am on H1 and am sponsoring their visit.
What are the docs. needed to apply for the visa? I already have the employment verification letter from my company and a letter from my wife's physician stating that she is expecting a baby. Do I need to send my bank statement and affidavit of support etc? My dad was asking me if he has to show his bank statement even if I send mine. What other documents are required to support their visa application? Please share if you have gone through this.I just want to make sure that I have all the documents.
Thanks in advance

I have sponsored my parents too and I have submitted the following documents so I recommend you for preparing these docs: 1. Affidavit letter I-139 2. Bank Balance letter 3. Your status and employer job verification letter 4. tax return 2006 5. Invitation letter from you to yr parent 6. Must ( bank balance letter and property evaluation from yr parent) 7. Better to apply both of yr parents (I applied for my dad first was rejected and when applied both ad visa issued) 8. visa apps from nepal to US EMBASSY Better to submit good bank balance letter from yr parent. US Embassy ask strong balance letter from yr parents as if happened us us.

Khuitte,Better consult an immigration attorney for this matter because all of the documentswritten above might just be required when you are sponsoring like people who just got DV Visa orfor an international student when you need to provide financial support. Good Luck!-HF

Most important point is that your parents will have to prove the ties to Nepal. The documents you send from here are just secondary evidence. They might not even look at those.
My father-in-law was denied visa the first time because they said that his ties to Nepal was not sufficient. Later he reapplied with more substantial documents - employment docs, property, bank balance, etc. - and he was granted visa this time.
At both times, we had sent identical documents.
ps - sometimes I wonder if it is all just crapshoot: maybe it all depends on what the visa issuing consular feels at that time or which side of the bed s/he wakes up on or whether s/he had a fight with the spouse or whether s/he is constipated, etc.

How helpful is the Affidavit letter I-139 & Bank Balance letter. Problem is I do not have any money so I was just thinking about sending employment verification letter and an invitation letter along with all the supporting documents from Nepal. My father was denied 2 times and I'd really like him to visit me this time...... I remember the Affidavit letter has to be notarized listing the bank balance, property value etc in the U.S. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks guys for feeback. I did go through website"immihelp.com" and am preparing docs accordingly.I was planning to send my pay stubs, bank statements, affidavit etc. and just realized that my most recent pay stub has a YTD Gross pay of only $30,000 till the end of November because I took 2 months break and was on the bench for another 3months(Dhoti consultancy) and did not get paid for that period. But my petition says that I am going to get paid $50,0000/year.Will they raise their eye brows if I submit my pay stubs, because it will reveal what I would have made by the end of this year? Is it better not to show my pay stub and have my parents sponsor themselves by showing their property and bank statement?
If you guys have any suggestions, let me know.
Thanks in advance
