grishma go to mnsu.edu and loon under math dept. You would see Deepak Sanjel. He did his PhD from Canada though, but is certainly teaching in the United States. http://cset.mnsu.edu/mathstat/dir/sanjel.html

Grishma,
To be frank, you don't want to gloss over this thing too much expecting a "nepali" to help a "nepali." Definitely, nepalese will help nepalese but graduate school is much more than such a simple help. It is also about your interests. They might be able to relate you to other people but still, hey, you are doing MS. How about your professors? Don't you have good terms with some of them? In any case, it is important that you have because they are the one who will write your reco.
So, what I suggest is, talk to your professors. Do not hesitate to express yourself clearly. Many a times, if they know someone who is doing something (lets say fractions, statistics etc) that you want to do, you will easily be accepted (application will be a mere formality)-of course given that you are excellent in maths and have a good rapport with the professor.

PS: I ain't a graduate TA in maths.

Grishma,
Come on...he just said he goes to U of A. hehe...but which U of A is it? Alberta? Arlington? Arkansas?Arizona?
And, people don't give mail id here. So, use the sajha to email him. If you don't know what I mean, click on his nick. Then, you will go to his homepage where you will see an option Email NIRAJ0123.
Hope this helps...
