Santa, there is no way u can tranfer the video to the computer directly. What you need is a capture card internal or external depending on your prefernace or your circumsatnce.

Happy video capturing !!!

First play the analog video on your TV directly from the camera or through your video player.

Windows XP Media Center allows you to record from your TV to the computer. You may then be able to record the video on your computer to a DVD or CD.

Verson of Windows Media Center required.

Let me know how it goes.

care, I did not know that the new PCs were all equiped with capture card capablity.

santa, just go the electronic shops and ask for analog capture card. The price for the card would be about $30 - $$$, depnding on the brand and capabilty.

Care, so what kind of connection does one have to use in order to transfer the video ?
Mmm..Firewire, S-video, USB or any other ?

I am 100% sure that Santa needs a analog capture card.

Sorry i misread video as digital cameras. Depending on the kind of connection you can record it either directly to computer or there are options that you can convert the pal video to dvd or cd by dvd player.
