Hello, My sister is applying for tourist visa in USA for my marriage. She is currently working as a nursing head in one of the Kathmandu's private hospital.(She recently completed her bachelor of nursing and have been working as head nurse since a month- before her bachelor of nursing she was working as a nurse and also did applied for student visa twice- it was rejected). I would like to know if anyone tried to apply for tourist visa who was working as a nurse. Please, share your experience what kind of question should she expect and what would be the success rate. Any input would be really helpful. Thank You.

No offense but since her visa was rejected twice I see low chances of visa approval. But still you can try, it will cost only around 160 dollars. Make sure she get letter from hospital (where she is working) . Actually you can fill up form from here online for her, of course in her name and id, which is more effective then papers she takes to interview. As I heard they dont even ask for documents for some cases.

Well, the main question they would ask is what makes her return back to Nepal after visiting US. A young recent graduate trying to visit US will definitely be seen as a potential immigrant. Her current job with estimated monthly income of 200-400 dollars is not a motivation to return back in the eyes of the CO. Success rate seems to be definitely low since student visa was already denied twice and they might feel that she is trying to go to US so badly. However u don't know unless u apply for it. So apply for the visa and good luck to her.

No, dont try. Her chances will be higher if she tries for her studies again, she can present stronger arguments, than if she tries for ur graduation. If she tries for ur graduation and gets rejected, then its the END for her. She will never ever get US visa again. For her own studies, she can try as many times as she likes and still she will have some chance.
