Hi Fellows,
I submitted my final thesis last week (mid-July) to graduate school and they told me that it takes at least until the first week of September for the degree to be posted on the transcript. I need to transfer to another university for my PhD program starting this Fall and I am now little worried if they require me to furnish the transcript with degree. I do have BS degree from the US, but in the admission application I mentioned that I would be receiving MS degree as my terminal degree. I would really appreciate if any of you already been in this situation could explain about what possibly could happen to my admission/class registration.
Thank you for your input on this.

Farrara,
No worries, ask graduate school to provide you with letter of completion. Because you already defended..............they commonly provide you such letter. This way, you could easily transfer your SEVIS to the new university. Later, you can send the official copy of your transcript to the new univ..........and you are done. I was also in the similar situation and did exactly what I told you.
Good luck
