We sure are using this time of disaster for our self gain. If you really really worry about your country and are here illegally, then just go back and help. If giving up US is not worth it, then probably your help is not that needed either.

Badhijanne, I am not sure if you're fully grasping the idea of granting TPS to Nepalese citizens. TPS implementation will not only only those who wants to travel back to Nepal to help the victims immediately but it also allows them to come back and work legally. This would at least give some hope for some of the families of reclaiming some which they once had that have been lost in the earthquake.

If you were born with a silver spoon, or if you came to this country by some lottery gimmick, or as a dependent, or faked an asylum, or faked the F1 interview in Maharajgung, or lucky enough to get picked in the H1B lottery, or if you were one of the lucky Bhutanese nationals living in Nepal and suddenly came to the US overnight, or faked a marriage, if you fall under any of these categories, you will not understand the pain of those in need of this TPS thingy.

Its not time to debate about what is wrong and right.
Everybody need to be positive, work towards their own goal, and help Nepal in every possible way to recover from this disaster.
DV lottery, H1B, Asylum, refugee, and marriage are only some of the personal choices to reach so called american dreams, and people have their own suffering to reach this goal. My two cents suggestion is utilize your own knowledge, and experience to support Nepal.

Hawachawa, Is there mahamari in Nepal that people have to leave the country? Who are we kidding? Help is needed, no doubt, but not to pull people out of Nepal. It's not like there is an epidemic in Nepal, or Nepal is inhabitable. Who in Nepal is asking for TPS? All I hear is people already in US (mostly illegally) asking for one.

StatusPidit. "If you were born..." This tells me why an illegal alien wants the status. Not why the status is needed for earthquake relief.

@BadhiJanne Who the f**k are you kidding? Do you really think America cares about you? Do you really think America can't survive on their own if you go back to your home county? Can you give up your H1B, Green Card, or Citizenship, whatever you have or whichever way you got it? Can you do that? I wish you could just remember one thing, human beings tend to 'achieve' what they have not already 'achieved'. I'm sure you are not really worried about TPS or any other relief program because you already got a way out and don't give a f**k about others.

Talk about earthquake relief, what have you done from your side that you are so proud of and we didn't do from our side and are not proud of? Do you even know anyone who is currently living in the US and has their house damaged, family tortured, lives lost by these earthquakes and cannot afford to go back home see their families due to immigration issues? Well, the answer is, you could care less about it and come to these portals and bash other people for seeking an immigration relief as such. I wish you hadn't forgotten you were also once an immigrant and were 'given', yes you heard it right 'GIVEN' an immigration relief by the United States of America.

@BadhiJanne ..You got it right as your name said. Bro, try wearing the other persons' shoes, and you will feel the difference. Its not only an opportunity to get status, but also a chance to prove yourself. It will give some indirect relief to Nepal's disaster.

Many who were once students like me will know the hard life. Summer bhari OCma hanta haanera, bacheko paisa le tuiton tirne ani who year bhari feri summer kaile aucha kurni. Or summerma ni kaam napaune ko ta behaal nai huncha. Now just think how will that student study if he has to send money to nepal as well. If his/her house is destroyed. If he has become the bread winner of the house. What is he going to do? Not all nepalese are lucky enough to have scholorships. So, you should understand that unlike DV parera ako haru, rest lai garai cha.
