If your VISA expires then you need to apply for another VISA.
Make sure you have H1 or new I-20 to apply for new VISA.
If you want to continue school it is better if you finish a year of school and go home and apply for F1 VISA then you will have better chance of getting the new VISA to finish your school.
Good Luck.

The practice of going to Canada for VISA renewal is not new.
Only thing is that don't go before your school starts. Go after you finish at least a semester or two in your Masters level.
Further, if you are returning from Canada within 30 days you can use your I-20 as a primary document and Passport as secondary.
Make sure you travel by land and not the air and don't surrender your I-94 in any case otherwise you will be in problem.
Good Luck.

let me clear a few things about this because i have been there
it's really simple. if you have new I-20 you got from the gradschool you are starting this fall, just go to Nepal and get your F-1 visa renewed. i hear mixed comments about going to canada or mexico and i have no poinion on that because i've never done that and don't know if it's good or bad.
for non-gradschool goers: if you are in OPT and it's expiring, you can apply for work visa. if approved, you get to work here in the states, if not, i guess you'll have to go back home unless you apply for gradschool and renew your F-1 to remain in status. if you are in OPT and want to renew your F-1, chances of getting renewal are rare. why? because there's no point in extending your visa if you are not going to school. F-1 visa is strictly for people to study, not to work.

Please do not travel out of States when you are in OPT unless you have a strong logical reason to re-enter. During you visa interview, You must have said the counseller in american embassy in Ktm that you would return home after you graduate. So, there is no point to extend your student visa.
You may carry another I-20 for another course and can try your luck...but believe me its going to be tough. If your company sponsors you H-1 visa, things turn around.
Good Luck!

Furke ji,
Try from Canada first with your Job offer and a letter from your employer.
Tell them you wanted to renew the VISA because of the travel restriction you have because of expired VISA.
I don't thhink going to Nepal would be a very good option right now if you want to stay in US for longer period.
