Guys need help with this Tps travel document question.With the new policy n the recent change in I-131 form there is so much confusion.previously i was issued travel document twice i.e, i-512T right after july 2022.as far as i know i-512T is not considered advance parole anymore only i-512L is considered advance parole but when i applied both the time i applied as tps advance parole.i even had a chat with the USCIS agents twice n even they got confused with the question coz of the change in policy n the new form.So does anyone know the answer for this question or anyone filed recently with the new i-131 form?pls do comment.Thanks!!

Yes, i travelled 2 times with the help of this travel document . I dont see any big changes in the form I-131. I know only PART 1 contains 6 pages. But you just have to tick one of the blanks for that. If u are confused go to PDF instructions pages. Or write where u got confused. Read the question very carefully . There are so many pages where TPs holders have to nothing but leave it blank . This is the only form that every non immigrants uses to travel outside and be paroled.

Maybe u didnt get my question Sampurna.What do u say then I-521T.Is it called advance parole then?if Yes then USCIS clearly said that they stopped issueing advance parole which is 521L to tps holders since July 2022.if u say No then when u applied it before u applied as tps advance parole.and USCIS said that advance parole is different than tps travel documents.

Yes I-512t is called advance parole . They have stopped issuing I-512L from last year .

Have u guys tried to google as well.is I-512T an advance parole?and have u guys checked USCIS site.it clearly says tps aplicant with initial applicant can apy for tps travel document through advance parole and other approved tps holder need to file tps travel document.the new form even has 2 section for tps travel documents and advance parole.advance parole is for initial tps applicant and AOS.tps travel document is only for tps approved.the new i131 form also has heading Application for Travel docs,parole docs and arrival/departure records unlike before it just used to one and every applicant whether its AOS or DACA or tps where supposed to use one but now they have all these section.n it even asks have u been issued an advance parole before?n USCIS used to issue advance parole before JULY 2022 to everyone but now after they got this new form they have made confused.

Sampurna bro, when was the last time you travelled using 512T (new travel document)? Uscis ma clearly bhanya cha ta admission huncha bhanera.

The main difference between Form I-512L and Form I-512T is that Form I-512L is for advance parole, while Form I-512T is for travel by noncitizens with temporary protected status (TPS):

Form I-512L
Also known as the Advance Parole Document (APD), this form is issued to noncitizens who want to leave the U.S. and return without reapplying for entry. It's typically valid for one year and can be renewed if the green card application is still pending. Form I-512L is issued to individuals with pending initial applications for TPS.

Form I-512T
Also known as the Authorization for Travel by a Noncitizen to the United States, this form is issued to noncitizens who currently hold TPS status. It allows a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer to admit the bearer into TPS at a port-of-entry.

Form I-512L replaced Form I-512T on July 1, 2022, and USCIS is no longer using Form I-512L.
