there are certain things that can only be open in IE but i prefer firefox over it. i tried IE 7 too, its okay, only thing is it will eat up lots of cpu usage and makes ur computer run slow. There is one more broswer call Opera which is also pretty stable.

I feel more comfortable with firefox due to its tabs and favorites toolbar. Further, MSN and Yahoo have release a new software to integrate msn and yahoo messenger, in case u didnt know. YOu have to download somekind of a patch I think available at yahoo or msn site since few days ago.

Firefox with "IE tab" extension is the best! I view all pages inside Firefox browser. For some wierd sites that don't display well in Firefox (e.g. Kantipur nepali pages), the extension renders them using internet explorer engine INSIDE firefox. Firefox is great because of available extensions!

Simply put IE is suitable for novices/casual surfers and to those who use Windows as their default operating system (OS) ; in fact, IE is probably the best browser on top of Windows (since both are products of MSFT). Mozilla-type browsers (i.e. FireFox) are better suited for advanced users or those who utilize some other OS, i.e. Linux, BSD, etc.. Like Mozilla, Opera (based in Oslo, Norway) is feature-rich and has debugging capabilities. Both of these browsers stictly follow the W3C (the body responsible for most internet standards) standards unlike IE. MSFT likes to enforce their own set of rules; as a developer this becomes quite painful when one has to make a GUI that works on both browsers conforming to their respective standards. If you are a MAC lover then there's Safari which has one of the best looking GUIs I've ever seen... If you're a Java web developer you can also make your own customizable browser; I've done this using swt and net libraries... Happy surfing !

No, Mozilla FireFox displays Kantipur fonts and any Kantipur pages so nicely, without any disturbances. I use this browser, just surfed through Kantipur website.
