Would peace in Nepal reverse brain drain by keeping talentd Nepalis in Nepal and bringing overseas projects and investment captial in Nepal like how India is reversing its brain drain by attracting US educated Indians back in India, and huge foreign investments in India? Could Nepalis learn from India or just potray hatred toward the giant neighbor?

Dr. Pandey is working on projects to contribute his small role in Nepal.

I WOULD! WILL in fact. I mean I think the idea above is good. I know many of us do not wish to return but I wonder the extent to which Nepal would benefit if all the students abroad headed back home for good. If one does not wish to return for good at least handling any kinda project there would be lot help ful...but yea Nepal should at least have provisions for good income (so obvious hai ! :)). ohh! ticket katde ta bholi nai janthe :(
Is returning gonna be really difficult??

I want to be optimist but i just cannot.i just can pray and write in sajha big big things like other(self made political analysts, close frens of politician and inside mens of maoist and palaces.).lol

Well Imi,
See, the future of the country depends on many things. It is basically in the hands of the people. And WE are the people. There are countless bright youngsters of Nepal settled, working or studying abroad. You can see how the infrastructure of the country has weakened. I strongly believe that Nepal lacks literate people. The majority of people of the Government with insufficient degree as well as the “to-be” member of the parliament, the Maoists and of course the citizens itself are the evident. That serves as yet another reason for the bewildered situation of the country. I won’t say that income is the only incentive for me. I still see reasons to head back, yea cud b emotional at the same time some clear visions. It can be an obvious reason for many but for some a strong truth. Nevertheless, I also see the point u r making and that sure acts as the repelling factor for most. All I can suggest u as yet another Nepali is, even if u decide NEVER to return, don’t erase it either. You can still contribute a lot staying from here itself. Maybe forming as alum org of Nepalese people from ur college. Humm big words I know! But there is not harm in planning it either . Well, at least that’s how I perceive things. Well, on a lighter note: let’s see to who I get married too:D ! :P Aba say if I get married to an Egyptian (hahahaa) , I cant make him gharjamai! Lol!

Whoever said peace has returned to Nepal does not know anything. Peace is only temporary. Maoists terrorists with help from Indian commies have only given three months, THEY HAVE NOT YET SURRENDERED THEIR ARMS!!!!! There is a rumor that Prachanda is going to address commies in two weeks!!!
How can there be peace when maoists-terrorists have not surrendered weapons & Prachanada is scot-free even though he has blood of 14000 plus innocent Nepalese on his hands??? This is not peace WAKe_UP!!!!!!!!!!

Things I think Nepal Can Support if peace eventually returns to peace! If there is great investment in these sectors and people are open to ideas....

Nothing new...just some thoughts

1) Hydropower, with power hungry giants like China and India a neighbors, Nepal can become the turbine for the Asian economic engines.

2) Tourism, no place on earth with the beauty of Nepal! "Breathtaking", most species of bird than anywhere on earth, the actual panda lives in Nepal

3) Herbal and medicinal plants, there are thousands of flora and fauna that is present in Nepal that may not be available in other parts of the world.

4) Perhaps Banking, If Nepali's can reverses the outside perception of them as corrupt and chaotic, Nepal can become what Switzerland is in Europe.... Nepal Needs to build " Trusts"... Supply dollars to dollar hungry China and India; pass laws that make it favorable for people to put Money in Nepali banks (this is a long shot)

5) Man Power, supply untrained and trained labor forces to other parts of the world, those people if Nepal is well off would return and or invest in Nepal as well (as Indians and Chinese have begun to do)
