It's good to see someone like this woman come out and talk about the cruelty women face from men in our society. We need more people like that. I think right now a social reform in our society will server better than political reform.

i was really moved by the article and feel terribly pity for the woman. This act shows to what extent Nepalese men are barbaric and unjust. Seems like there are many Nepalese women out there who are unable to confront a situation like this but I applaud this woman for her gut and giving every other women to take dare step in future. Ironically, there�s so little thing to consider abt women injustice and men cruelty. And I think there are many men who are brooding over what to jot down for this intolerable, inhumane, retarded and barbaric act who are also on the verge of this act. This is very interesting observation. Everyone is pouring a sympathy for a woman and I am seeing immediate recations by people. What happens next is the real story. Now after the dust settles down, the woman will be on her own. No one will probably marry her in Nepal and her all ambitions of having a fulfilliing relationship will die.

It is very easy to sympathise with her but the real hero will be the one who accepts her and give a new lease of life. But in my observation, this is very unlikely to happen.

This was indeed a very sad story, and i am glad the woman had the guts to come out with it and release herself from such treatement. People who are thinking she will not re- marry, you are already doing injustice to her. Is marriage the only purpose of a woman's life? Why can't we think that she is going to lead a better life without this ass hole!!!
