After a long tiring day,
when we get back home late, we just want to have a nice sumptuous dinner and
sleep with a smile. But with the changing speed of life and the concept of
nuclear family, it is not possible every day, at least for a person from a
middle class family. So we all cook. Some cook anything just to fill stomach
and get their required energy and some cook by taking time and to pamper their
taste buds. They say eating is a necessity and cooking is an art. And I totally
believe it.
One think I love is
cooking. I am not a fancy cook because I believe that good food doesn’t meant fancy
and complicated. It can be any recipe by my Hajuraama
but cooked in the right way. Last week over a cup of coffee, I had a bit of
discuss with a friend who is a culinary expert. His argument was that with training
and books one can master the subject of cooking. On the contrary, I was
debating that cooking is not just right amount of ingredients and the process
of making but the kind of feeling you have while cooking. Our Hajuraama and her hajuraama were not trained
cooks but I think they had the best of recipes one can get in any school of culinary
arts.
I strongly believe that
the kind of persona you carry and the spiritual vibration you are at will
always affect the work you are doing. That also comes affective in your cooking
style. My experience in life, I feel that every time I am in a good mood or I
feel strongly in love with the person I am cooking for ( not necessary my bf or
the guy I am dating but my family and close friends as well), I have surprised
myself with the results.
Whatever you cook, when
you cook with dedication and a lot of love and affection, I think it just
perfects the ingredients somehow. I
agree that the cookery books will definitely give us the right amount of salt
and oregano for a saucy salsa but it is the love we put in that, that really
brings out the taste. That is why when your mom cooks for you when you get back
home from a long trip, it tastes soooo good, when your better half cooks a nice
dinner to make u feel special, it always works with your buds, that is why kanchi maili jethi ko bhatti has such
good flavor that pulls you back to that place again and again.
So next time when you
cook, you stay happy, sing a song and feel the emotion of love, so that you add
those secret ingredients to the food you cook and serve. Jacques Pepin, a well
known French Chef, who is also an author and a tv personality quoted that
“Cooking is truly an Art of Love”. Yes it surely is!

@OBAMA Regular Bhatti Visitor ho ki Bhatti operator. Who knows? :P "that is why kanchi maili jethi ko bhatti has such good flavor that pulls you back to that place again and again." I think it's not bcoz of the flavor of kanchi maili jethi ko BHATTI. Rather it's bcoz of Spicy, hot flavor of kanchi maili jethi. :0 My mom doesn't cook super good. Kinda ok. Except her no one knows to cook, so it's good bhannai parca. :P

I prefer the typical one. someone like "भैँसी थाकेको तिन महिना भयो, म थाकेको तिन वर्ष , कहाँ वाट ल्याउँ दुध !" lol, that's the character साहिँली from the story ध्वाँसे

you know why lot of people in west fall sick? coz they eat food made without love. We blame processed food for our unhealthy lifestyle but spiritually if you look at it, the food made is not only processed but with no energy and love. It simply is made(processed) by machine served by human slaves. That's not gonna uplift your energy. It may satiate your hunger and thirst temporarily but the shine and aura you carry within, invisible to outer vision are always deprived of vital energy of love. These things may sound humorous but what you can't see can't be ignored. Over decades, ppl accustomed with this lifestyle like eating processed food are met with dreaded diseases. One must prepare his/her own food or if can wishfully serve to others. Eating is not just killing your hunger, but also appreciating it as being the source of energy which is keeping you alive to experience this very moment. Thank always to your higherself that you are lucky enough to have good meals everyday. Eat slowly and relax. As always, yet another practical story and I love it. I can't stop mention those who go over 4-5 paragraph of writing, I find it obnoxious to read, it's TLTR(too long to read). Ambrosia, keep up writing the way you are.
