I think you were selected to study 'Baking Science' in China. Did you change your subject later? You must know Bishnu Pandey too. He went at the same time you did and he changed his subject to 'Electrical engg' i think.

It looks like Lalchan was the most 'distinguished' figure of ASCOL. Everytime when threads are started about ASCOL, he comes at the central point.

I remembered three more names; Omkrishna (?), Nilkantha Poudel, Subash ( he was also from Eastern Nepal, Biratnagar I think). One friend was from Pokhara, but I forgot his name. Anmd yeah, there was Suman Baidya from Banepa (?), a very nice friend.

And Mahendra Kandel, Madhav Nepal (not MAKUNE though!) . How did I forget them?

I don't remember if you went for 2nd year picnic in Dakshinkali. It was a terrible experience. A guy called Mahesh Regmi (people used to call him JACK) was in front line to organize that picnic. He was also able to manage fund from college in the name of our field trip. He told us that the fund was not enough and we had to collect extra money from us too. We did accordingly. However, on the day of picnic, he just pretended of having diarrohea and that he had to go to hospital first and told us that he will meet us directly at picnic spot. However, he never showed up there. In fact, we came to know later that he had not even paid for the reserved bus. We all had to collect money again to pay the bus in order to get back.

Makar Tantrajee, I didn't go to that picnic. But I remember Mahesh Regmi now. He is from Nijgadh, Bara. Where is he now?

I was in same class with Himal and I went to high school with Tendi and Suyesh. Himal was a nice guy indeed.Lale, Ammar and pemba was in our class too. physical morning 1989.

Mahesh Sigdel (Bara) was different from the one i was talking about. That Mahesh Regmi had another aide called Sekhar Sharma. They used to collect a lot of money from ASCOL and TC students as well as from traffics passing through in front of those colleges in the name of educational tour (Darjeeling tour). They never went to tour though. They used to use different type of donation pads (BIO day 2nd yr, Physical morning 2nd yr, etc) to collect 'chanda' from others.

The other names in our class were Dev Raj Niraula, Mahesh Neupane, Resham Koirala, Suresh Upreti, Devesh, Arjun Gurung, Shruti Tripathi, Purushottam Devkota, Samjhana Adhikari, Abhi Shrestha, Pithileswori Bam, Rojina, Rajendra Acharya, Hari Krishna Pudasaini, Rajendra Tiwari, etc.
