both of you have valid logical arguments. But I do agree with MadDogg that Nepal really used to be a peaceful country. Yeah there were nepal bandas etc etc, but they were very rare. We used to plan stuff like cyclying, playing skates :D . Right now, the situation has gotten so bad, seems like there are protests, banda every week. Bussiness are down, no schooling, not even basic neccesities are there. Atleast people used to be happy back then, everything was flowing smoothly. Tourism was flourishing. Seemed like countries economy was doing just fine. Look at us now.

I was actually talking with one of my workmates who just came back from India, yesterday. He was saying he was also gonna visit Nepal, because he himself had not gone back to India for a long time and since he is there, he also wanted to visit Nepal. But due to current situation, he decided not to. It was kinda embarrassing to accept the truth.

Yes, at one point of time, Nepal was ahead of Singapore, Malasia, and Thailand in terms of annual economical progress. It was in the late fifties and early sixties. The way I think...there is nothing like "Former King"...either you are King or you are not. And "King" are not made, they are born. You are destined to be King. It is up to you to belive if some one is King or not. It is completely faith based thing because a King is not voted to be a King. It is his people who make someone King. For me King Gyanendra was King and is King.
