March of the penguins is a wonderful movie.I am sure you know about the plot. Its a plain simple narration and ofcourse the commanding voice of Morgan Freeman.Watch it if you haven't.Highly recommended. Not a big fan of Bollywood although the new epic movie based on Mangal Pandey's rebel against the british is on my list. There are countless foreign movies/Hollywood movies I would recommend. If you are truly a movie buff start with "Cinema Pardiso" an italian film.Wonderful work of art.The remake of 1989 is great. If you like drama start off with "the godfather series".If you like thriller start with alfred hitchcock's "psycho".If you like politics and consider yourself a left-leaning liberal don't miss any michael moore's work.He speaks the truth that is so bitter for the right wing fanatics sometimes. If you want to watch really good south asian movies....styajit ray's "the apu trilogy" is an heart touching amazing work. If you are a rebel and think the world is unfair. Watch "The motorcycle diaries" iZen.rsn

And if you are weird and like darker side of human brain, watch david Lynch's movies: 'Lost Highway' and 'Mulholland Drive'.

Hotel rwanda is indeed a good movie, Don Cheadle at his best. Scenes of genocide makes you weep. Million dollar baby...don't miss it. Sideways. Crash these were some new releases, but my all time favorites are: 1. The shawshank redemption - Tim Robbins's wit and Freeman's narration worth watching. 2. Boys don't cry - Hillary swank as a sexual identity crisis victim. 3. Primal fear - split personality disorder pretender Ed norton. 4. Courage under fire - Denzel as a repenting military officer 5. Philadelphia - Clash of the titans, denzel and hanks 6. Driving Miss Daisy - Freeman again....check out his southern draw. 7. Save the last dance - Stiles fusing contemporary music and ballet together. 8. Jo jeeta wohi sikander - Aamir Khan....need I say more? 9. Dil hai ke maanta nahin - The same 10. Bemisaal - Amitabh Bachchan sacrificing everything for a friend. 11. Company - hail new dawood, the laconic new face of Indian mafia 12. The beautiful mind - Eevn john nash could not have portrayed himself better 13. Dances with the wolves - A white turned indian, costner's movie is a masterpiece 14. Eternal shunshine of a spotless mind - carrey hanging by a thread to help keep Winslet's memories.

I don't know about other movies but "Hotel Ruwanda" and "March of the Penguins" are worth watching. It's an old one but if you haven't seen yet, try "Caravan" but remember it's known as "The Himalaya" in US. I also saw "Bhedako Oon Jasto" (I don't know if the spelling is correct). It's regarding the search of the same song by Nepathya group in the Gosikunda area. It's worth watching too.
