I just wated to share my view with he sajha communiy. After comming to US and dating and observing girls out here, I have so much appreciation and respect for girls back home.I am talking about those quite ones, who respect their parents and culture, Who basically sacrifice their personal dreams and aspirations for their families, the homemakers. I realise that I was so wrong to look and wonder around for something which was already there. At this point in my life I have promissed myself that I am always going to respect such girls and I am going to treat my wife like a queen.

Are those girls doing is willingly or is it social pressure.......I wonder....there are chances that they would turn into the same kind of devil like girls we have here if they got a stamp on passport to be in US.

Well in a way, Maverik, you are right. But your view cannot be generalized. It depends upon persons you come across with irrespective of the place where you meet them.

Just my two cents...

Two Cents? hah! It's worth a million to be honest.

Mr. Maverik..Good to know that you will respect and make your wife the queen...Lucky your wife will be to have such honour. Good luck!

I've one more question for Maverik..I wasn't sure if he meant the girls in US are not respectable. Enlighten us Please.

Do u think someone has to sacrifise their personal dreams and aspirations to gain some respect? IS that the only way that they can be respectable? To be trruthful I feel sorry for the minority of those girls who do not get to do what they want. To live a life where they have to continously think about what other people want and expect from them is (in my views) worse than as Maverick puts it "non-respectable." I think its more of a pressure they have to live with! Everyone should be able to do what they want. And about quiet and respect their parents and culture.. I believe that one does not have to sacrifice all they have to respect their elders and culture. Some people are quiet some are noisy.. what does that have to do with respect?

I agree with Marevik bandu. I have always respected such girls n I've met few. Such girls are always ended up queens in their lives. Circumstances make them to face any challenges that come forth them. These girls are the winners.

Maverik,
Your thoughts are appreciated. Let me share my experience with you. This is my experience, let me forewarn you -it is a bad one.
I went to Nepal and as married a Nepali girl and brought her to US. She seemed ideal in the beginning. I was busy at work and taking care of the financial needs. She was going to school and working part-time. It seemed to be working at that time. The relation started deteoriating when she was about to complete her school. I had no clue what was going on. I started taking time off work and started spending more time with her. It did seem to work initially but it went back to the way it was. I could not figure it out. I talked to her about it. All she would say is we are not compatible to each other. I wanted to know the details and what I needed to make it work. She gave me BS answers; I believed it and started to work on her answers, basically to make her happy. It was hellish years. It took me long time to realize and to know that she was having an affair with an Indian guy who was much younger then her at school. Later I found out that she was planning to leave me and get married with that Indian guy. Ironically the Indian guy was rich in India. The Indian guy had promised her marriage. She went for it, divorced me, in the mean time the Indian guy went to India and there was no way that his family would let him marry a older divorced woman. So he ended up marrying a beautiful and rich girl closer to his age.
I am single and happy now. The best thing - is I have no kids from that relationship.
-Shiv
moral of telling you my story: Not all Nepali girls are good. There are some very bad ones that will make your life hell. Just be careful.

Looks like this is interesting thread and guys as well as gals are participating. Everyone has different story to tell, after all this is very diversified world.

I think Mavrik is right to some extent that Nepalese gals back home are nice. Shiv is also right that not all of them are. Let me warn you that that you better take care about the age factor of the gal if you are taking her abroad with you. And if she goes to undergrad school, you will invite a lot of problems, including an extra marital affair. But this may not be a generalizable proposition. The family cultures matter a lot when comes the issue of pushing a wheel of matiral life. Guys, don't worry. Even in Vedic times, some gals were having extra marital affairs. Guys too went to brothels. This is very strange world.

wateva,

Kid, kudos to your too little too unnecessary information about Mel Gibson.

To me Maverick is an honest guy who confessed what he thought of women before and after coming into the US. It is still true that he is still prejudiced as most of us men from nepal are, but you girls also have a lot to do except turning yourself into what they call a bitch (sorry, but you are) of the western civilization. Ask yourself if you have changed as Maverick did in terms of moral behaviors of women as to men before calling us pigs, okay?
