Provided ur emploer is willing to sponsor, u can proceed. Since the overall process takes more than 12 months, make sure u apply for Opt extension to maintain the status till you get new EAD under GC or GC directly..

Hi Phiste,
I applied Greencard while I was in OPT and it was approved. It took almost 10 months for all the processing, i.e. Ad in the Newpaper, Labour, EAD and finally the Greencard. The odd of getting approved mostly depends on the company you are applying from. And to let you know I had my Masters Degree. If your company is willing to do it, I will suggest to go for it. If you need more info, please contact me thru Sajha(hope I might be of any help).

Hello Curfew;
Ijust finised my Master in IS. And waiting for my OPT. I am trying to go thro same route. I have one small company to sponsership for me but the problem is my pay will be very low like 20-25$ per hour. I hheard that pay range does matter for this process. What is pay range we needed?
Thank you
KJ

Hi Kya Jhoor,
The pay scale depends upon the where you company is located (State where you company is located) and your Major in your Masters Degree. In my case it was $82,000 which was a bit too high. I had to show more that $75,000 but to be in the safe side I showed $82,000.
