. USA is not a kingdom. It is a United States of America. It has a president. What makes some nepali living in US support this dying Monarchy? They do not have any first hand experience of monarchy in USA and they are enjoying their freedom in USA. .

Sayami ji, म मान्छु तपाइको कुरा, तर, यो topic उठाएर किन बेक्कारमा झगडा सुरु?? I dont support Monarchy at all, if I have to name ONE NEPALI i hate the most, that would be Gyanendra Shah..... But, I still feel that this thread is pointless... "USA IS NOT A KINGDOM"... yeah we all know that... " What makes some nepali living in US support this dying Monarchy? They do not have any first hand experience of monarchy in USA " We've all experienced that... some people just tend to like it...... because of different reasons... so, हरे भगवान सयामी जी, क्रिस्मसमा अली धेरै बियर चड्यो जस्तो छ, बियर कम गर्नु पर्यो तपाइलाई थाहा छ, every usless thread that you post, San has to pay for the bandwidth, and unlike the HOMEPAGE, he doesn't have confusing google ads on this page... so yeah, let us all help him save some money so he can help NAS host his semi porn shit... :)

Those who support monarchy have the right to support monarchy. No need to trample on their rights. After all, in democracy, there should be and is such freedom. Having said that, I have a hypotheses. Mind you, it is just a hypotheses. That is, some, not all, but a few some of the Nepalis who are in the USA are the offsprings of corrupt royalists. They are here because their ghushiya, chakari-baaj bau aama managed to accumulate enough ill-gotten wealth by licking royal family's collective ass. Hence, it is by nature that they call for monarchy to spread its evil dictatorial wings. Their debased sense of morality hopes for the resurgence of autocracy because they had profited hugely from it before and hope to to profit more in future. These people got where they are not because of their hard work or intelligence, but because of parasitic nature of their parents. Parasites children are also parasites. So they call for a system where they hope to live an easy life of parasites. While these parasites ko baccha parasites enjoy the life of freedom and good will in the USA, they want their fellow Nepalis to live the dog's life in a dictatorship, so that their parents can keep on sucking innocent people's blood. This is just a hypotheses. You are free to disagree.

Not all the nepalese people who come in US don't work in government sector. For example, none of my family member ever work in government job because we don't get the job in government sector . My parents has their own bussiness which is also dying thesedays because of maoist and other distruction in the country. We never bribe anybody that is why it took 2-3 months for me to make passport in Nepal. They always ask me to come the next day and next day they ask me to come the following day. Finally, I got fed up and took my dad with me and finally my dad asked the person where it is written that nepali won't get the passport and the refugee can get it with bribe. My dad said if you were looking for bribe, you are facing the wrong person and he said he will bring as many people as the officer want to prove that those guys are giving illegal citizenship and passport. Then, within an hour, my passport is ready. Don't say that all the people who come in US that thier parents are parasites at least not mine.

Sayami sounds like he is ringing the bell for the maoists himself and cannot bear to see the fact that people still care for the King and hope that monarchy is not removed because we are so used to it and its something our country has been proud of. we have respected the king as our father and any Nepalese wishing ill of their own father is not right!!!And riten your hypothesis stinks!! I wonder why your imagination runs so wild???

See point to be noted: 1] Many living in US are more educated and comes from middle to high class family .They and their family are the class in nepal which determines the direction of the country.Neither poor nor rich class determines the direction .It is the middle class which sets the change. If the Change is not really desired by this class nothing can be achieved.NO matter thousands of poor class dies(as there more supporter of maoist) , there cannot be a true revolution. What maoist forget to do is to take hold of this running middle class and try to win thier hearts. 2] Although most of the people belives King is Gayendra is a ass and his song is bigger one .They consider that the President Prachanda would be wrost . 3] Syami , your support for democracy is appludable but you forget that these same leaders have repeated ashamed you unless you are relative of Some minister . 4]I am surprised myself to see the support for the Consititutional Monachy- For I think Gyane is a chor and he needs to be kicked in his balls but if nepali people want they can keep ceremonial monarch for hell of it.Just not to make communist dream come true. 5] It is sad to say this but the truth is bitter - if there is any better person than Gyane now in leadership and who can take country to the right direction , then yes we need republic!!!!!!!!!!!but there is none and we know it !!!thats why you see people still are divided . 6] As long as people are divided in this kind of ratio - the so called revolution - maoist, loktantra is incomplete. 7]People are happy what and how they are , they don't want to change for selfish leaders.

Jai Hindu, it is ignorant people like you who bring a bad name to Nepalis. People like you with nonsense belief just abuse and disrespect others for not any reason, (in this case the Gujrati/Indian). I pity you that you have not learned good manners while at school during your childhood period. Grow Up man.

Grass is always green on the other side.......................Having said that ........I stress upon everybody to look at the current situation of Nepal................Given the oppertunity every one in Nepal ..well almost.........will leave the country to work abroad ...........to provide a better life for their family........Which Nepal cannot provide. Fact.......People here in USA know how hard the life here is....how hard to work and save, as prices have gone up in everything it is hard to save much unless you want to live like some Nepalese do ...10 people sharing 1bedroom apartment and work in a restaurant ......never paying for food.........in short (living damn Cheap)....As for students....parents cannot provide.....even rich from Nepal cannot provide....so students work and pay for their education..........Anyone who thinks Life here in the USA is great ............... Sorry I'll have to dissagre.........I do agree the ratio of us dollar against Nepals RS is high when you earn them but you practically have to work...I MEAN WORK YOUR BUTT OFF...and then survive here ...basically your month by month expenses..........life is tough here and yes the ocassional gathering and luxury of modern technology and a brag of being in America.............Even to those who hold businesses and corporate jobs have a tough time ..........SAdly everyone in Nepal think WE all are living in a country where dollar grows from the trees and we live in luxury......False.........SAYAMI your speculation is wrong bro..........As I look at our country............I blame the politicians for our current state.........The People elected leaders took the power from the King and overturned the Panchyat system......after DEMOCRACY WAS DECLARED..........soon following the leaders becoming mad filthy rich abusing Authority, and selling false propoganda to the illerate and litrate public of nepal before election........................hense creating Moaist.............AND now blame it to the KING.............this has been my observation from being here in the USA thats why I still love the monarchy.........When I left to the US Maos were just a group in the jungle names like robbers. It was safe to travell anywhere in Nepal, I could enjoy my country its beauty and the nepali hospitality everywhere I went .........The smile and the feeling of being secure and happy was priceless in those days about 9 yrs ago. The king had already surrendered his powers long time ago then .........the political leaders lied to the por and common people of nepal and all the aid money was vanished..............................SO being outside Nepal....Working hard to make my ends meet............and observing Nepal.......I have no doubt where I stand. ps: on my last visit to Nepal..........we had hired some workers to do some landscaping around our house in Kathmandu.........1 hour later two of them were sitting smoking on the ground while the other two went away to buy something.......2 hours later when I came out all four were sitting down .........ok .....ok.......sometime later........they were half finished with their jobs they went on a lunch break and showed after more than one hour.......started working very slow ..and relaxed....and at one point of time I told them to not be so relaxed and work because I was paying them a lot of money...one of them snapped at me saying ...KAAM GARIRA TA HO NI... Chadai NAI SAKINCHHA.....well it took them a whole day to finish it....................I thought to my self try doing that while working here IN the USA..and see how fast you will get your AS)s kicked out.

Well said MadDogg: Ironically, your viewpoints are well thought-out and rational.... The truth is, Politicians in Nepal fight for power, to be in power and make the best use of the country's economy for their own benefit...Have you ever heard a Maoist talking about how to enhance hydro-projects (Mind you, Nepal has the world's 2nd largest water resources)...or how to build new highways.....All they spread is ..Oh, dalits are this dalits are that...why don't you do something about it, rather than kidnap them so you can force the "Dalit" teenagers to fight for your cause.....the cause which the country is clearly not benefitting from.....And, if they don't see things going their way, who cares, they have paid Gundas to destroy the country's remaining infrastrstructures.....What a day and age we live in......its sad to see that our politicians thing destroying the city and town they live in is ok to get their point across.....Some one had said in one of the thread, Nepal, one day will be more like Burma, Combodia or the likes....I do not doubt that seeing the current political developments......

Yeah, I agree to MadDogg and KnightCrawler. This is a time to analyze things through who has done what more or what better to be called a better party or a leader. blaming just the king is not the right thing to do at the moment. right now, the king has become merely a scapegoat. The maoists needed a safe landing from their 10 years of bloody revolt. They knew they could not win over the army or get all of their demands fulfilled. They settled for stripping the king off his powers. Its all a dirty game of negotiations and reconciliations. Nothing else. Whereas, the political parties also thought its time for change and so went with the maoists. Girija is on his way to establish himself as a legend no matter his party is the most undemocratic in the whole nation. I think everyone else is on their way to getting a share of their fame except the king. Well, talking about the Maoists, how different are they from the royalists? Even they suck blood and sweat from the poor people. they are worse because they do it at gunpoint and violence and human rights violation and torture. Well, anyways they are into politics now. Its time to see what kinds of long term political and economic agenda they do have. How are they gonna rehabilitate the internally dislocated people from the war? Or are they gonna take a larger burden of responsibility over that? Since all these months of peace agreement, nothing seems to have been done in that regard. the parties, including the maoists are just struggling for power, trying to safeguard a larger bargaining power, nothing to be done to win over the hearts of the general nepali public. The maoists are definitely the most resourceful and the richest party in the nation now. they have accumulated billions of rupees by looting the general public. What did they give back? one and only thing they did not intend to give but was the obvious outcome of the revolt is the political and economic consciousness they created in people throughout the nation by their 10 years of war. However, this is true with any bloody war. Even after the 1990 revolution, people became more conscious and had a zeal to do something. the leaders, they could not keep up with their initial impression. I don't have much hesitation to say that whatever development happened in the nation since 1990 is more than 90% fueled by private sector and public initiative. the government did almost nothing. I am almost sure that same power struggle is going to resume for at least 5 years now. This time with 3 big parties.

out of couple hundred people i know, personally, who live in USA less than handful support monarchy. so Sayami your starement is very wrong. Also who support monarchy, almost all do so not because they think monarchy is great but because they think politicians are worse than monarchy. i personally think this topic is irrelevent now since monarchy is at the verge of castration if not eradication.

Why you wear blue shirt while other wears green? Why do you like coca cola while others like pepsi or Dr. Peeper? Why you like salty and sour while other likes sweet?........................................................................... I think everyone has his/her own interest, idea, notion. There is no need to discuss or care.
