You might be surprised to hear this. But yes you heard is right. A research firm has started manufacturing monkeys in Nepal for which if sold it will receive Rs 50000 a piece. Hmm. interesting.
The particular type of monkeys found in Nepal have the closest DNA strucutre with humans so they are being planned to used as Guinea Pigs in research of vaccines for Aids, TB, Malaria and other diseases.
A firm in Lalitpur in Collaboration with Washinton State University has started this venture to provide these monkeys by keeping this monkeys in captivity and it has already succeded in producing a couple dozen of them to be exported.
